2 low-fat yogurt of your favorite fruit flavor
Fresh or frozen fruit of your favorite kind
1 can of 4-ounce fat-free sweetened condensed skimmed milk
1 cup of Whole or low-fat milk
1 tablespoon of Extract of your favorite fruit flavor
GROWN-UP PREP
At least a day ahead of time, freeze portion of ice-cream maker that needs to be frozen if using electric ice-cream maker. Consult owner's manual if you have questions.
COOKING TIME
1. Prepare fruit (wash, remove stems, slice, and so forth); then puree in food processor or with potato masher. Place 1-1/2 cups in mixing bowl.
2. Have your child add the yogurt to the pureed fruit using a spoon.
3. Open the sweetened condensed milk can and help your child pour it into the mixing bowl, scraping the inside of can carefully with spoon. Your child can measure the milk, vanilla, and fruit extract and add them to the condensed milk.
4. Blend ingredients well with mixer. Pour into ice-cream maker.
5. Continue to make frozen yogurt following ice-cream maker manufacturer's directions.
